Riccardo Muti brought full "Don Pasquale"

Premier tour
On behalf of the Stanislavsky Theater scene and played himself operu-buff Gaetano Donizetti "Don Pasquale" in the setting of Ravennskogo music festival. The main hero of events organized by the festival "Cherry Forest" and the Center operatic singing Galina Vishnevski, became a world-renowned conductor Riccardo Muti. Which, in turn, brought them to Moscow established Youth Orchestra Luigi Cherubini, pevtsov-solistov (all from Italy) and postanovochnuyu team. Tells SERGEY HODNEV.

For Riccardo Muti "Don Pasquale" -- the product of special significance: Thirty-six years ago just for this opera he debuts at the festival Zaltsburgskom. This year it made the actual artistic director Pfingsten-Festspiele Salzburg, a small but prestigious annual festival, the occasion of the feast of Pentecost, on the largely ancient music. "Hedlaynerom" this festival has become in the coming years, respectively, the Youth Orchestra Luigi Cherubini (giovanile Luigi Cherubini Orchestra), which Maestro Muti has collected more recently, and now seriously guardianship.

Donizetti apparently orchestra did little closer than music XVIII last quarter century, in any case, the great master of Italian style belkanto gives him more easily and EASE. As a result, virtually the whole orchestra play read carefully, with due measure uplift, but adventure, fun and treat molodtsevato. Combined with more than a good quality of the vocal soloists (who were testing as specialists belkanto that record and, in general, met the confidence) is attached opera obvious, but little charisma starorezhimnoe "correct" the Italian theater. Which now and in Italy, apparently otyschesh not suddenly.

As far as singers, their dignity without major surprises as consistent with the list of actors. Bass Nikola Alaimo (miserly old single Don Pasquale), was a rarity at soniferous, expressive and flexible that, along with funny and very impulsive games singer went to the role. Chief slyboots and faktotum Doctor Malatesta was excellent Speth Mario Kassi, holds izyaschneyshego lyric baritone, which has been presented that pleasant smooth manners that nasmeshlivo-ironichesky nature of the party. Laura Giordano (charming vdovushka Norina) initially sang and suhovato skovanno slightly, but then, mustered confidence has been able to demonstrate its glimmering liriko-koloraturnoe fresh and confident soprano with a great application for artistry. Parti Ernesto, passionately (well, but as yet), in love Norinu nephew Don Pasquale, chanted Dzeffiri Mauro, it is found in the general intelligent tenore di grazia rossinievskogo warehouse, gentle and beautiful, just not always impeccable tonally.

In St. Petersburg the same performers will present tomorrow, "Don Pasquale" in a concert performance, but the Muscovites had the chance to see theatrical version of Opera. Scenography quite modest; Don Pasquale room marked podium on the stage, which is relying era furniture. Abroad 1840-Four apparently do not go to any suits Gabriella Pescucci nor direction Andrea Del Rosa -- and yet time and ostraneniya irony is, and here. At the edges of the stage facing hangers with costumes, benches and tables, to which singers approached by portraying his "zastsennoe" Being away from the role. Although in the main part of the scene can be replayed entirely prostodushnaya comedy (Don Pasquale, for example, in despair, he stoned imposed imaginary wife vegetables), and there is still an element of distancing from the komediynosti, clever and at the same time a little sad. This is a very feel the opera itself, which is not so much something quite innovative, but able opery-buff development ancient traditions. Here there are rich tupoumny single, which need furniture, clever and a swindler, and a sham marriage, and a deep love and razoblachayuschaya all and the whole scene (in the garden, as in "Marriage of Figaro"). As a result, we are shown such a vision of opera comedy era belkanto -- valid until timidity, but even well-informed and lively.
