Round the world racers to go on pirate alert

The Sirius Star was attacked a long way south of Somalia. Over 300 metres long the Sirius Star is the largest ship ever seized by pirates. The seizure of the Sirius Star has concentrated minds but the problem is a long way from being solved. The Sirius Star, operated by Saudi Aramco's Vela International Marine Ltd. long Sirius Star was taken over by pirates on Saturday around 450 nautical miles off Kenya in the Arabian Sea. The US Navy confirmed that the vessel, Sirius Star, had been stormed by pirates and the crew held hostage.
